SM Supermalls and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement that will open all 52 SM Supermalls as an alternative venue for “No Bio, No Boto”, a Voters Biometrics Registration program that will run from July to September 2015. With a nationwide scope and an average daily foot traffic of 3.5 Million customers, the partnership aims to provide a convenient Biometrics Registration place for the public, most especially for persons with disabilities and senior citizens. SM Cares is SM Supermalls' umbrella CSR program. As a responsible mall developer, SM ensures that its CSR programs serve as catalyst for positive change for the community it serves.
SM Cares was launched in 2008 to organize our sustainability efforts into a comprehensive program that tackles a wide range of initiatives: From giving a voice to the under-represented sectors of our society, to preserving the environment and to creating innovative but sustainable avenues of growth.
Our advocacies include programs for the Environment, Persons with Disability, Overseas Filipino Workers, Senior Citizens, Children and Women & Breast feeding.
Our program is unique in that we take a holistic approach to success. At the helm are the champions who motivate and manage our goals. We work with various organizations, corporations, shareholders and people from the SM community in coming up with innovative solutions that pave way to living more sustainable lives.
