Tilapia with Tomato Sauce Makes: 4 servings Utensil: 12" Electric Oil Core Skillet small mixing bowl Ingredients 2 cups tomatoes, chopped (360g) 1⁄2 cups water (120mL) 1⁄2 tablespoon onion, minced (5g) 1⁄2 tablespoon ground cloves(3g) 1⁄2 tablespoon sugar(6g) 3⁄4 teaspoon salt (4.5g) 1⁄8 teaspoon black pepper (.6mL) 2 tablespoons chicken broth (30mL) 2 tablespoons flour (16g) 11⁄2 - 2pounds tilapia (680 - 900g) Directions * Preheat electric skillet to 225°F/110°C. Place tomatoes, water, onion, cloves, sugar, salt and pepper into skillet. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. * In a small mixing bowl, combine broth and flour. Stir mixture into skillet. * Wash tilapia and place in skillet over tomato mixture. Spoon sauce over the top of the tilapia. Cover and cook for approximately 8 minutes. Serve immediately. Tips A sweet cherry or grape tomato is a delicious choice. Fresh is best but you can use canned tomatoes. Use the juice and elimate the water from the recipe.
